Attempt robbery at Seaford

Police are investigating an attempt robbery at Seaford overnight.

About 11.15pm on Sunday 29 January, a man attempted to gain entry via the locked doors of a service station on Griffiths Drive. When that failed, he approached the attendant at the night window armed with what appeared to be a firearm. He demanded cash however the attendant refused and the man ran off.

The suspect was last seen running across the road towards the bike track.

Police searched the area but were not able to locate the suspect however did find discarded clothing including a black hooded jumper which he had used to disguise his face.

Southern District CIB are investigating the incident and ask anyone with information on the incident to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
