Attempt robbery Hackham, South Australia

Police are investigating an attempt aggravated robbery at Hackham last night.

Just after 11pm Friday 26 February the victim was closing the bottle shop at a South Road licenced premises when he was approached by a man carrying a hatchet who allegedly demanded money.

The victim was able to run inside and lock the doors and was thankfully not physically injured.

The suspect left empty handed and was last seen heading toward South Road. The suspect is described as being Caucasian, aged in his mid 30s, and was wearing a black puffy jacket, black pants and light coloured shoes.

Police searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
