Police have charged a 26-year-old man with attempted murder following an incident in Brassall yesterday afternoon, July 9.
It will be alleged two men were involved in an altercation along Fernvale Road shortly before 1pm.
The 26-year-old man then returned home and entered his Mitsubishi Outlander, before driving to Fernvale Road.
Police will allege he deliberately struck the other man with his vehicle, before continuing on.
The 30-year-old Brassall man was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with life-threatening head injuries.
Police located the driver and the vehicle at Caribou Drive a short time later and took the 26-year-old Brassall man into custody.
The 26-year-old Brassall man has been charged with one count of attempted murder and is due before Ipswich Magistrates Court today, July 10.
Investigators do not believe the two men were known to each other.
Investigations are continuing.
