Attempted murder charge, Rochedale

An 18-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder in relation to a traffic crash at Rochedale on December 8, 2022.

Just after 10pm on Prebble Street, it will be alleged the man intentionally crashed a vehicle he was driving, injuring himself and his passenger, an 18-year-old woman.

Both occupants suffered serious injuries and were transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital.

The 18-year-old woman remained in hospital for treatment for several months.

Following extensive investigations the 18-year-old West End man was yesterday charged with one count of attempted murder.

The man appeared before Brisbane Magistrates Court yesterday, where he was remanded in custody with the matter expected to be heard again today, March 15.
