Attempted murder charges, Meadowbrook

Logan Detectives have charged a woman with attempted murder after an incident in Meadowbrook early this morning.

It will be alleged around 4am the woman attended a University Drive residence and threatened a man who was known to her, before deliberately setting fire to his unit.

The woman received significant burns and was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.

The man received treatment for non-life-threatening burns to his hands.

The 30-year-old Marsden woman has been charged with one count each of attempted murder (domestic violence) and arson.

The woman remains in hospital but is scheduled to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on February 12.
