Attempted murder charges, West End

Detectives from Morningside Child Protection and Investigation Unit have been conducting an ongoing investigation into the alleged attempted murder of a 17-year-old boy at West End in the early hours of August 28.

Police will allege this assault occurred at a Cordelia Street apartment complex and is linked to a similar incident that same night in Milton.

Today, as part of Operation Tango Lithium, investigators charged three youths with the attempted murder of the 17-year-old West End boy.

The three youths were among ten people charged with attempted murder in relation to the alleged Milton incident.

Detective Acting Inspector Warren Gibbs said: "Police take this level of violence seriously and we encourage members of the public to contact crime stoppers if they have any further information."

Investigations are ongoing.
