Attempted robbery in South Brisbane, QLD

Detectives are investigating the attempted robbery and wounding of a man in South Brisbane overnight, Queensland Police say.

At about 10.15pm, a man was riding his bicycle through Musgrave Park when he was assaulted by a group of teenagers, who demanded his wallet and phone.

The 30-year-old man managed to continue riding his bike and return home, where he realised he had a small wound to his back.

He was subsequently transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital for treatment of minor injuries to his back.

Anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area is urged to contact police.
