Attempted robbery with violence in Northgate, QLD

A 21-year-old man has been charged following an investigation into the attempted robbery of three 13-year-old boys at a train station in Northgate yesterday, Queensland Police say.

At 3.30pm, it will be alleged the man confronted the boys in an elevator.

It will be alleged one boy was pushed twice but did not sustain any physical injuries.

A second boy was allegedly head-butted before the man tried to steal the boy’s watch, but was unsuccessful.

It will be further alleged a third boy was pushed to the ground and kicked multiple times.

Police located a man at the train station and took him into custody.

A 21-year-old Northgate man is scheduled to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today charged with attempted robbery, assault occasioning bodily harm and common assault.
