Residents are invited to mark Australia Day on Monday 26 January, 2026 at the Central Goldfields Shire Australia Day free, family event at the Station Domain, Maryborough.
A free breakfast and children's activities will commence at 8.30am followed by official proceedings at 9.15am.
The Australia Day Awards – including Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year and Community Award of the Year – will also be announced.
The event includes a Citizenship Ceremony where new residents become Australian Citizens.
Medallions were also presented to all babies born during 2025 and free books will be presented children starting kindergarten in 2026.

The event will feature:
