Australia Post has today opened its new Post Office in Pimpama, cementing its long-term investment in the rapidly growing Gold Coast suburb and enhancing services for the local community.
Located in the heart of Pimpama at 102 Pimpama Jacobs Well Road, the new Post Office features parcel delivery, financial services like Bank@Post, identification services and a variety of retail items including business supplies, stationery and core postal products. To make parcel collection easier than ever, the Post Office also features free 24/7 Parcel Lockers - giving residents convenient and secure access to their online purchases. The Parcel Lockers also support returns at all hours of the day and night, with customers able to drop-off pre-paid packages via a Parcel Locker by following the merchant instructions, providing greater flexibility and convenience for busy households.
Australia Post General Manager Retail Operations North, Sarah Coe emphasised the significance of the new Post Office in improving access to postal services in Pimpama and demonstrated Australia Post was continuing to invest in the Gold Coast.
"The Gold Coast continues to experience year-on-year eCommerce growth, with online purchases up 9.4% from last year1."
"This increased demand has also seen the Gold Coast become our largest posting zone outside the major capitals, with substantial inbound and outbound product. This new Post Office will make it easier for local residents and businesses to access the services they need - when and how it suits them," Ms Coe said.
This week also marks the one-year anniversary of Australia Post's Gold Coast Parcel Facility, which has now processed over 18 million parcels due to increased parcel growth in the region.
Within the facility's delivery catchment area comprising of 28 Gold Coast postcodes, the total number of online purchases grew 3.1% from the previous year. The number of households shopping online also grew by 2.1% from the previous year, with 285,000 households shopping online in 2024.

Pimpama Post Office is officially open for residents and will be open from 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 12:30pm on Saturdays.
