The Tasmanian Government is backing in landholders to protect and improve nature on their property.
Funded through the Tasmanian Government's Landcare Action Grants program, Landcare Tasmania will deliver a $240,000 grants program from April 2026 to April 2027.
Minister for Primary Industries and Water, Gavin Pearce, said these funds would be available for landholders to undertake a variety of works.
"The Landcare Action Grants program supports the joint goal of enhancing agricultural practices and conservation activities," Minister Pearce said.
"Successful applicants under this grant round can receive funding for activities such as weed control, fencing, invasive species management, and more.
"Improving land management is key to increasing farm resilience. This will serve as an important part of our goal to sustainably grow the annual farm gate value of agriculture to $10 billion by 2050."
In 2024-25 the Tasmanian Government committed $1.865 million over three years to ensure the important work of Landcare Tasmania continues, featuring $900,000 for the Landcare Action Grants program.
