Baldivis burglary arrest

Rockingham Detectives have charged two people as a result of their investigation into two burglary incidents at a shopping centre located on Settlers Avenue in Baldivis.

It is alleged on Friday 27 November and Wednesday 6 January 2021, they forced entry into the shopping centre before gaining entry to several jewellery stores located within the centre. It is further alleged they used hammers to smash glass display windows, stealing various items.

On Thursday 14 January 2021, Rockingham Detectives executed a search warrant at a residence on Paparone Road in Baldivis where it is alleged they located property stolen from the above incidents.

A 16-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man, both from Baldivis have each been charged with:-

• 3 x Aggravated Burglary and Commit;

• 3 x Stealing; and

• 2 x Aggravated Burglary with Intent.

The 16-year-old is due to appear before the Rockingham Children's Court today, 20 January 2021 and the 20-year-old will appear in the Rockingham Magistrates Court on 28 January 2021.
