Bales Of Hope Rolling Out From Briars

Over the past few weeks, something quietly powerful has been happening at The Briars.

More than 360 bales of hay have been donated from the property and collected for fire-affected farming communities, alongside additional contributions from local farmers.

The hay is already on the move, heading to regions where recent fires have left paddocks scorched and feed scarce.

The Briars Hay Drive began in 2018 during drought, producing around 800 bales, and continued through the 2019-20 bushfires, when approximately 950 bales were donated to help farmers recover.

What started as a practical decision has grown into a lasting example of the Peninsula showing up when it matters.

As fires continue to impact farming regions, this year's collection is a reminder that recovery takes time, and support doesn't stop once the flames are gone.

The hay donation at The Briars is partnership with Mornington Peninsula Shire, the Victorian Farmers Federation (VFF), Need for Feed, local farmers and Jones Group.
