
Ballina Shire Council will be running two free bike safety workshops on Wednesday 8 and Thursday 9 April 2026.
"Whether you are an experienced rider and mechanic or new to the game, come along and have your bike checked over by experts, get some great tips and have your questions answered," said Ms Helen Carpenter, Road Safety Officer (Ballina Shire Council/ Transport for NSW).
The workshops will provide:
- bike safety checks (no repairs completed on-site and no parts supplied)
- basic bike maintenance tips and advice
- helmet fitting
- laws and etiquette for riding on roads, shared paths and rail trails
- e-bike rules and
- safety for riding with children
If you are interested in attending one of the free workshops, please register for one of the following sessions:
- Wednesday 8 April – Richmond Room, Ballina, 9.30am - 11.30am
- Thursday 9 April – Lennox Head Cultural Centre (Meeting Rooms 1,2 &3), 9.30am - 11.30am
Each session is limited to 30 places and will go for approximately 2 hours.
