Hot air balloon operator Balloon Aloft was announced as the Gold Winner for the Adventure Tourism category at last Thursday night's 2022 NSW Tourism Awards. The event was held at Luna Park in Sydney with over 400 members of the tourism industry coming from around the state to attend. The awards recognise those businesses who exemplify quality tourism.
Balloon Aloft is Australia's most experienced hot air balloon operator and has been offering sunrise balloon flights to passengers for over 40 years with flight locations in the Hunter Valley, Camden, Mudgee and Byron Bay.
Owner and senior pilot, Matthew Scaife said the Balloon Aloft team was thrilled to win the award. "We have such a passionate team here at Balloon Aloft. We love what we do, flying passengers over some of the most spectacular parts of the state. This award means so much to us after what has been a challenging couple of years for everyone in the tourism industry."
The company will now go on to compete at the Australian Tourism Awards to be held in Sydney next March.
