Banksia crash leads to charge for driver, NSW

A man will face court today after a single car crash in Banksia last month, where bystanders had to take evasive actio, NSW Police sayn

Just before midnight (Tuesday 20 November 2018), emergency services were called to the Princes Highway. Banksia, after reports a Kia Rio had crashed.

Police have been told the southbound Kia hit a traffic pole before rolling across the northbound lanes and hitting a parked vehicle.

The driver, a 31-year-old man, was pulled from the vehicle by members of the public.

He was restrained by police and taken to St George Hospital as a precaution.

The Camden South man was arrested by Crash Investigators yesterday. He was charged with drive at a speed or manner dangerous, possess prohibited drug (x2) and Breach AVO,

He was refused bail and will appear in Sutherland Local Court today (Tuesday 11 December 2018)
