Bass Coast is gearing up for a festive season filled with colour and community spirit, with Christmas decorations being installed from 1 December.
The celebrations begin with the 8.9-metre Christmas tree at Wishart Reserve in Wonthaggi, followed by festive trees, lighting, solar stars and decorative features rolled out across Cowes, Inverloch, Grantville, San Remo and Rhyll.
A Christmas tree will also appear at Berninneit in Cowes, and San Remo's iconic Norfolk Pine will once again glow with programmable coloured lights.
Large Christmas baubles will brighten key roundabouts, and Christmas flags have already been raised in towns with flagpoles.
Bass Coast Deputy Mayor, Cr Brett Tessari, said the annual decorations bring a sense of joy and connection to the community.
"Christmas is such a joyful time in Bass Coast. Our decorations help create a warm and festive atmosphere across our towns, bringing delight to families, fostering community spirit and welcoming visitors to our region," Cr Tessari said.
"We hope the community enjoys the displays and takes a moment to appreciate the people who work behind the scenes to bring a little extra magic to Bass Coast each December."
