Bass Coast Unites to Illuminate Family Violence

Bass Coast Shire Council joined communities across Australia to commemorate National Domestic Violence Remembrance Day, with an annual candlelight vigil held on the first Wednesday of May to remember women and children whose lives were tragically taken due to family violence.

This year, Gippsland united in a regional approach to acknowledge the tragic loss of lives and the ongoing risk to women and children, with vigils held from Bass Coast Shire all the way to East Gippsland.
