Health, inclusion and reconciliation are set for a boost with new actions and priorities set out in our new Health and Inclusion Plan.

The Plan has five goals:

Developed in consultation with the local community and key stakeholders, the Plan draws on best practice, health statistics and current evidence.

The Action Plan for its first year includes strategic, place-based initiatives to achieve aims such as

  • Increasing and strengthening participation opportunities for community connections and social networks
  • Promoting understanding of positive mental health practices and help seeking
  • Driving healthy, sustainable and equitable food systems
  • And improving the sense of safety and strengthening crime prevention partnerships.

The Health and Inclusion Plan 2025 - 2029 was tabled at September's Council meeting.
