Bayside Unveils Exciting New Street Furniture

The first phase of our exciting new street furniture installation has been completed, with phase two already underway.

As part of a State Government CovidSafe funded project, the uniquely designed street furniture will enhance and encourage outdoor activity, adding energy to the surrounding businesses and supporting community connectedness.

An important feature of the furniture is the ability to be responsive to community needs. The furniture does not need to be installed but rather placed at a location, allowing for flexibility to move furniture to another location should the need arise.

Another added benefit is that in the creation of the furniture, an emphasis was placed on reusing, repurposing and recycling to mitigate environmental impacts.

Phase Two includes a fantastic addition to Black Rock Village, with planters being painted by award winning artist Julian Clavijo.

This installation, which will add vibrancy and greenery to the Village, is expected to be rolled out in mid June.
