BESWICK BRIDGE STEADY AT A PEAK ABOVE THE MODERATE FLOOD LEVEL

Heavy rainfall recorded overnight Thursday has resulted river rises across the Waterhouse River catchment, where moderate flooding is peaking at Beswick Bridge during Friday afternoon.

Waterhouse River:

Moderate flooding continues along the Waterhouse River.

The Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge is currently steady at a peak near 8.40 m, with moderate flooding. The Waterhouse River at Beswick Bridge is likely to remain above the moderate flood level (8.10 m) for the remainder of Friday into Saturday.

Safety Advice:

Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous.

Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.Check the ABC and local media for updates.
