Bin Day Just Got Whole Lot Cooler

It was all smiles, squeals, waving hands and rumbling engines at Our Lady of Fatima Primary School in Rosebud this week as our brand-new waste trucks were unveiled.

Three stunning trucks – each featuring a unique design by local artists Jack and Josh – rolled into the school grounds for their big debut.

The kids were absolutely buzzing, getting to see the trucks up close and meet the drivers who keep our streets clean week after week.

The drivers even put on a live demo, showing how bins are emptied, what the driver's area looks like, and giving curious students a peek inside the trucks.

It was the perfect mix of fun and learning – a chance to celebrate local art, meet the people behind the wheel, and remind our youngest residents why recycling and caring for our environment matters.

If you haven't already, you'll start to spot these freshly painted trucks working their way through Peninsula streets soon – give them a wave, and if you catch them on camera, tag us on Facebook or Instagram so we can see too!

Check out the video from the day below to see all the fun in action!

And the creativity doesn't stop there! Our Waste Truck Colouring Competition has been extended until the end of October due to huge community interest – with nearly 100 colourful entries already rolling in. So, if your kids haven't joined in yet, now's the time!
