Bin Your Bad Habits This National Recycling Week

We're inviting residents to join the movement and take simple steps towards a cleaner, greener Campbelltown this National Recycling Week, held from Monday 10 November to Sunday 16 November.

Established by the Planet Ark Foundation in 1996, National Recycling Week is a time for everyone to come together and make a difference through everyday actions, like recycling correctly and reducing waste.

"National Recycling Week is a reminder that every small action counts and when our community comes together, those actions become powerful," Mayor of Campbelltown, Darcy Lound said.

"Together, we can bin our bad habits and create lasting change. I encourage everyone to get involved with the activities we have planned throughout the week as small daily actions can develop simple habits that make a real difference in protecting our environment," Cr Lound said.

Throughout the week, residents can get involved in a range of events and activities across Campbelltown, designed to support the community to build better recycling habits and reduce the amount of waste going to landfill.

Highlights of the week include a pop-up event at the Aviary on Q on Monday 10 November, a free screening for youth and local families of the documentary 'Future Council' at the Campbelltown Arts Centre on Thursday 13 November and a stall where residents can take part in some hands-on activities and recycling games at the Handmade and Homegrown Markets on Sunday 16 November.
