BLACKMORES ONLY VDS COMPANY INVITED TO JOIN CHINA INTERNATIONAL IMPORT EXPO ENTERPRISE ALLIANCE

Shanghai

Blackmores is proud to be the only vitamin and dietary supplement brand – and just one of four Australian companies – to be inaugurated as a member of the China International Import Expo (CIIE) Enterprise Alliance.

As members of the Alliance, Blackmores will participate in regular roundtable discussions with the Chinese Government to foster international trade. We are honoured to join the Alliance and welcome President Xi Jinping's reaffirmed commitment this week to grow cross-border e-commerce and expand the number of free trade zones.

Blackmores Executive Director Marcus Blackmore and Asia Managing Director Peter Osborne attended the historic Alliance signing ceremony at the China International Import Expo in Shanghai yesterday.

Being invited to join the Alliance is a reflection of Blackmores' strong professional reputation in China, built through providing quality natural health products and educational partnerships such as with Tsinghua University in Beijing.

Blackmores Executive Director Marcus Blackmore said: "The Alliance will hold regular roundtable meetings between members and the Chinese Government, including the Ministry of Commerce, to foster international trade. It is an opportunity for us to further strengthen our already strong working relationship with the Chinese Government."

Blackmores Asia Managing Director Peter Osborne said: "We are honoured to become a member of the CIIE Enterprise Alliance. We welcome expanded and improved access for foreign products to enter China and are very committed to working hand-in-hand with the Government to support this."

Blackmores has a winning presence at the CIIE as a key sponsor of the Australia Pavilion and with our innovative purpose-built exhibition spanning 180m2 over two levels, reflecting our position as Australia's leading natural health brand.

As an Australian company, China presents enormous opportunities for Blackmores and we are truly honoured to be asked to join the CIIE Enterprise Alliance.

The Chinese Government is committed to improving the health and wellbeing of its citizens – as demonstrated by President Xi Jinping's Healthy China 2030 policy.

Blackmores is committed to supporting this vision by providing safe, high-quality products and education to Chinese consumers to help with their health needs.
