REIWA has appointed Blaine Slater as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The appointment follows an extensive recruitment process that drew interest from applicants across the country and internationally.
Mr Slater comes to REIWA from the TSA Group, one of WA's largest privately-owned employers, where he is the Chief Operating Officer.
REIWA President Suzanne Brown said the Institute was delighted to welcome Mr Slater as CEO.
"Blaine is a strategic, values-driven executive with 20 years of progressive leadership at TSA Group," she said.
"He has the skills, mindset, and energy to help drive our business forward in a constantly changing real estate landscape.
"In addition, he brings a fresh perspective from outside the real estate industry, paired with deep experience in leading complex organisations and working closely with subject matter experts."
Mr Slater said he looked forward to the opportunity to lead REIWA.
"REIWA is an iconic WA brand and a leading voice in the WA real estate industry," he said.
"I'm excited to work with the REIWA Council, the REIWA team, and our members to build on this legacy and to help guide our advocacy efforts on key issues facing the industry, particularly rental reforms, including no grounds terminations, the upcoming anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism reforms, and housing supply challenges."
Mr Slater will commence with REIWA on 17 November 2025.
