BlazeAid is continuing its work on the MidCoast following the May 2025 floods.
The organisation arrived in the aftermath of the largest flood in recorded history for the region.
The BlazeAid team have been working hard in the local area to help residents recover and have been assisting with the repair and erection of damaged and in many cases completely destroyed fencing.
MidCoast Council's Director of Liveable Communities, Paul De Szell, said the assistance provided by the volunteer organisation goes beyond the physical work they are undertaking.
"Their presence alone has helped to lift the spirits of some of the hardest hit flood victims," he said.
"It is the perfect example of true Australian spirit - getting in and helping those of us who need it and we can't thank them enough. The work they are doing is thoroughly appreciated."
The team of volunteers will remain in the region until March 2026 meaning they will be working through the hot summer period.
Mr De Szell has put the call out to help the organisation get through the warmer period by asking for donations of bottled water.
"MidCoast Council have been able to provide the volunteers with accommodation and facilities for the duration of the stay, and we are asking for those in the community who are in a position to show their support by donating bottled water," he said.
Any donations of bottled water can be made to the Aub Ferris Sports Field in Nabiac.
