Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken spoke with Japanese Foreign Minister Kamikawa Yoko today and offered congratulations on her appointment. They emphasized the importance of the U.S.-Japan Alliance to security and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific. The Secretary and Foreign Minister also discussed countering the DPRK's reckless provocations and Japan's support for Ukraine in the G7 and United Nations.
