As stated by Spokesperson Matthew Miller:Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken met with Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz. The Secretary reaffirmed the United States' support for Israel's right to ensure October 7 cannot be repeated and stressed the need for Israel to take all feasible steps to avoid civilian harm in Gaza. Secretary Blinken and Foreign Minister Katz discussed efforts to secure the release of all remaining hostages and increase the delivery of critical, life-saving humanitarian assistance throughout Gaza. Secretary Blinken stressed the imperative of preventing the expansion of the conflict and pursuing sustainable peace in the region.
