Bodangora Wind Farm Community Fund Now Accepting Applications

Applications have opened for the Bodangora Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund.

The benefit fund is open to community groups in the Wellington district to support projects that provide a direct benefit to local communities in the area.

There is $68,279.56 available for this year's round of the Bodangora Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund.

Dubbo Regional Council Mayor Josh Black said he encouraged community groups to consider projects or programs that would benefit from financial support.

"Grant programs like the Bodangora Wind Farm Community Benefit Fund play an important role in helping our community groups access the financial support they need to secure resources, deliver services, and run programs that strengthen and enrich our community.

"I encourage all community groups across the Wellington district to consider the projects and initiatives they have planned for the next 12 months and to apply for funding to help bring those ideas to life," Clr Black said.

Some of the organisations who have benefited from the fund in the past include the Wellington Warriors, Wellington Amateur Theatrical Society, Wellington Touch Association, Wellington Race Club, Wellington Public School P&C, Wellington Cowboys SLRC, Wellington Horse and Pony Club and Mid Macquarie Landcare.

Eligible community groups can apply for up to $20,000 per application. Only one application per organisation will be accepted.

Community groups can visit Council's website for the specific criteria and determine if they are eligible to apply.

Applications are now open and close on Saturday 28 February 2026. Applications must be made via SmartyGrants and will not be accepted via paper or email.

Eligible applications will be reviewed by an internal panel and considered by Councillors at a future meeting of Council.
