Bodies of two men found in caravan park at Chinderah

Two bodies have been located at a caravan park in the state's north.

About 12.30am today (Thursday 16 February 2023), emergency services were called to a caravan park on Chinderah Bay Drive, Chinderah, following reports a person was unresponsive.

On arrival, officers attached to Tweed/Bryon Police District located a body inside a caravan, before locating another body inside a neighbouring caravan a short time later.

The bodies are yet to be formally identified but are both believed to be men aged in their 50s and 60s.

A crime scene has been established and an investigation has commenced into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
