A search operation is underway after a man died and a child is reportedly missing in Sydney's Inner West.
Just before 11.45am today (Saturday 13 June 2026), emergency services were called to Bayview Park on Burwood Road, Concord, following reports a man's body was found in the water.
The man is yet to be formally identified.
On arrival, officers attached to Burwood Police Area Command were told the man had been seen in a small boat, with a child, shortly before his body was discovered.
The girl – described as being about six or seven years of age – has not been located at this time.
Police have established a command post at the scene and commenced a search operation to locate the girl; further specialist resources have been requested to assist in the search.
