Body found at Wingfield, South Australia

A man has been arrested for murder after a man's body was found at Wingfield dump yesterday.

Just before 3pm, Tuesday 21 December, police were called to Wingfield Integrated Waste Services on the corner of Wingfield Road and Hines Road, after staff located a body amongst green waste.

Detectives from Western District CIB and Major Crime along with Crime Scene investigators attended the depot while the body was removed. A post mortem examination is expected to be undertaken today.

The deceased has been identified as a 52-year-old man from Hectorville. Eastern District CIB and Major Crime arrested a 44-year-old man who has been charged with murder and will appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court later today. Police will be conducting a further search of Wingfield Integrated Waste Services.

The incident is not believed to be random.
