Police have located a body following a small fire at a house in Mount Pleasant this morning, Victoria Police say.
Emergency services were called to the Kenworthy Place property about 8am and discovered the fire.
The fire was extinguished and a search of the property uncovered the deceased person inside.
The deceased is yet to be formally identified. A report will now be prepared for the Coroner.
The exact cause of death remains unknown at this stage however the death is being treated as suspicious.
Homicide Squad is currently enroute to the scene.
