Police will prepare a report for the Coroner after recovering the body of a woman at Altona beach this morning.
The woman was located by the Search and Rescue Squad in waters off Altona pier about 10.30am.
The body is believed to be that of a 20-year-old Ashwood woman who went missing while snorkelling on Saturday.
The death is not being treated as suspicious.
