Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman after her body was located in Sydney’s west, NSW Police say.
About 7.30pm today, emergency services were called to DeWitt Street, Bankstown, following reports of a concern for welfare.
Upon arrival, police located the body of a 55-year-old woman.
Officers attached to Bankstown Local Area Command have established a crime scene, which will be examined by forensic specialists.
Police will investigate the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.
A brief will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
