A body believed to be that of a woman missing from the state's Riverina region has been located today.
The 83-year-old woman was last seen at a home in Leeton on Saturday 28 May 2022 and was reported missing yesterday (Tuesday 14 June 2022).
Officers from Murrumbidgee Police District immediately commenced an investigation into her whereabouts.
Following inquiries, a body was located in Whitton, about 20km from Leeton, at 9.30am today (Wednesday 15 2022).
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
