Body recovered after angler swept off rocks - Snapper Point

A body has been recovered after an angler was swept off rocks on the Central Coast yesterday.

Emergency services were called to Snapper Point after reports a rock fisher had been swept into the sea about 8am (Saturday 12 March 2022).

Officers from the Marine Area Command, Tuggerah Lakes and Brisbane Water police districts commenced a search for the man.

They were assisted by Marine Rescue NSW, Surf Life Saving NSW and NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service.

It continued until nightfall and was to resume this morning; however, about 7am (Sunday 13 March 2022), a man's body was found on a rock ledge off Frasers Beach.
