A man wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant will face court today charged with domestic violence and assault-related offences in the state's north.
Officers attached to New England Police District received reports of several alleged intimidation offences in Boggabilla between Sunday 20 July 2025 and Monday 21 July 2025.
Following inquiries, about 1.15pm yesterday (Wednesday 30 July 2025), police attended a home on Merriwa Street, Boggabilla, to speak with a man.
The man ran from the location and police commenced a foot pursuit. He was arrested a short time later and taken to Moree Police Station.
The 24-year-old man was charged with two counts of stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm, common assault, and affray.
Police also executed an outstanding arrest warrant for domestic violence, and weapon-related offences.
He was refused bail to appear at Local Bail Division Court 5 today (Thursday 31 July 2025).
