There are changes coming to parking restrictions in the Bogong Avenue Car Park in Glen Waverley.
Following the opening of the upgraded car park in April 2025, Council officers have monitored and assessed its ongoing performance and suitability in meeting the community's parking needs.
In light of the significant impact of the Suburban Rail Loop works and the coming Civic Precinct Project, there's a need to modify the parking restrictions within the car park to ensure a balanced use of parking for all users.
The primary changes involve extending the existing 4-hour (4P) parking restrictions down to Level 4; and permitting Council staff and trader permit parking on Level 6 in addition to the existing Level 7 parking. Existing on-street parking conditions are also being observed during this process, but no change is proposed at this time.
We expect the changes to occur from Friday 24 July 2026. Note that the changes will only be in effect once the signs have been installed so please ensure that you check restrictions prior to leaving your vehicle.
NOTE: You may enter or exit Bogong Avenue Car Park 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
CURRENT PARKING RESTRICTIONS:
Ground to Level 4: 2P, 8am-8pm, Monday to Saturday
Level 5 to Level 7: 4P, 8am-8pm, Monday to Saturday
Exemptions from parking restrictions are available on Level 7 for vehicles displaying a valid Trader/ Staff parking permit.
NEW PARKING RESTRICTIONS:
Ground to Level 3: 2P, 8am-8pm, Monday to Saturday (same as existing restrictions)
Level 4 to Level 7: 4P, 8am-8pm, Monday to Saturday
Exemptions from parking restrictions will be available on Levels 6 and 7 for vehicles displaying a valid Trader/ Staff parking permit.
