Victorian fast bowler Scott Boland has been named in Australia's 15-player squad for the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final against South Africa in June.
Boland's inclusion comes as Australia aims to defend their WTC title, having secured victory in the previous final against India in 2023.
Boland enjoyed an outstanding summer during the recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy series, claiming 21 wickets in three Tests at an average of just 13.19, including a ten-wicket haul in the final Test in Sydney.
The squad announcement also sees the return of Captain Pat Cummins, the experienced Josh Hazlewood, and all-rounder Cameron Green, all of whom have recovered from injuries.
Australian Chairman of Selectors, George Bailey, said the squad was excited for the opportunity to compete in another World Test Championship Final.
"The team finished the WTC cycle with an impressive series victory in Sri Lanka following an equally strong summer in defeating India for the first time in a decade,"
"Those series capped a consistent performance across the two-year cycle and now presents us with the incredibly exciting opportunity to defend the World Test Championship.
"It means a lot to the group to reach the final and they are very much looking forward to the challenge South Africa will present at Lord's."
