A man has been charged following investigations into an alleged bomb hoax in Brisbane on Monday, Queensland Police say.

It will be alleged a threatening phone call was made to the Brisbane Supreme Court complex shortly before 9am.

The building was evacuated before police were able to determine the threats to be unsubstantiated.

A 31-year-old Caboolture man has been charged with one count each of use carriage service to menace or harass, wilful damage, common assault and contravention of Domestic Violence order.

He is expected to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.

We would like to remind the public that making a bomb threat is a very serious offence and those convicted could face up to five years imprisonment.
