Boolaroo Police Station closure, NSW

The Boolaroo Police Station in Lake Macquarie Local Area Command will officially close its doors next week with staff re-locating to Toronto, NSW Police say.

From Tuesday 7 March 2017, the new Toronto Police Station will be open to the public.

Lake Macquarie Local Area Commander, Superintendent Brett Greentree, assured the public that while final works are continuing in Toronto, it will be up and running for service to the community.

"Final stages of the construction are still underway and an official opening will not take place until later in the year," Supt Greentree said.

"However, the doors will open to the public and they’ll be able to contact the station 24/7 on (02) 4088 1099.

"Remember; please do not attempt to contact Boolaroo Police Station as the service will no longer be in use," Supt Greentree said.

"I’d also like to remind members of the community that in the event of an emergency they should contact Triple Zero (000) immediately.

"We look forward to unveiling the final station in the near future, which will include improved facilities designed to best serve the local community."
