Boost for Regional Internet from Goolgowi to Emmaville

A network of 56 new and co-located fixed wireless towers will boost internet services for more than 11,000 homes and businesses across regional NSW.

The $50 million agreement between the NSW Government and NBN Co, will see 46 regional communities receive fast and reliable fixed wireless internet.

Communities set to benefit include Goolgowi, Hay, Kundabung, Crookwell, Walcha, Emmaville and Bingie, and many more.

Residents in these locations will receive metropolitan grade internet, helping to reduce their reliance on satellite internet services. They can also expect:

better pricing for their internet service

more choice of internet service providers

faster download speeds

increased reliability - making it easier to work remotely, access digital services, connect with loved ones and access entertainment.

The agreement is part of the $60 million grant funding opportunity announced in 2022.

The nbn regional fixed wireless towers are expected be completed by the end of 2025.
