Women and girls in Northern Tasmania will soon have better access to specialist healthcare, with the 2025-26 interim Budget delivering $3.8 million to expand services at The Bubble, a dedicated women's health clinic in Launceston.
The investment will support the expansion of broad range of services, including antenatal care, pelvic health and gynaecological care, helping more Tasmanian women and girls access quality health services closer to home.
Minister for Health, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Bridget Archer, said the Liberal Government is delivering for Tasmanian women.
"We know how important it is to have access to specialist healthcare," Minister Archer said.
"If you need access to women's health care in the North, we want you to be able to get it close to home.
"Our partnership with The Bubble will allow the clinic to expand the services it provides, while also attracting more doctors and health professionals to the region.
"We're working together to move our State forward, with our government boosting healthcare right across Tasmania."
