Boundary and Davis Road intersection upgrade to commence

Construction is set to begin on an upgrade of the Boundary and Davis Road intersection in Mount Cottrell.

Starting next week, the $1 million intersection upgrade includes pavement widening and resurfacing, signage and line marking improvements, and road drainage upgrades.

The Boundary and Davis Road intersection will be closed to traffic from 10th January until the end of March to allow for the works.

Wyndham City Mayor, Councillor Susan McIntyre, said the project was being jointly funded by Wyndham and Melton City Councils, with Melton responsible for delivering the works as part of the wider Troups Road South upgrade.

"Improving local roads is one of the key priorities of the 2022/23 Council budget, and these works will deliver enhanced intersection safety and an overall smoother drive," Cr McIntyre said.

"Wyndham City's Road Safety Strategy 2022-2032 envisions that everyone who travels on our roads and paths will arrive safely at their destination."

"This important upgrade will help ensure this increasingly busy intersection is safe for all road users."

"Traffic diversions will be in place during the construction period and drivers are advised to please plan ahead and allow extra time for traffic delays."
