Police have charged two men following a series of break and enters at businesses in Mount Morgan and Gracemere yesterday, 10 September.
Around 3.45am, it will be alleged two men approached a Morgan Street business at Mount Morgan and smashed the glass front door entrance with a hammer. The pair allegedly stole a quantity of handbags before leaving a short time later in a stolen white Kia Seltos.
Shortly afterwards at around 4am, it is alleged the two men kicked open the front doors of a tobacco business on McLaughlin Street at Gracemere, causing damage before gaining entry and stealing a quantity of tobacco products and drinks.
At approximately 4.30am, the pair allegedly reversed the Kia through the main entrance sliding doors of a McLaughlin Street shopping centre, causing significant damage to the doors.
The offenders left the scene a short time later.
Later the same day, two men were taken into custody.
A 19-year-old Rockhampton man has been charged with seven offences, including enter premises and commit and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
A 28-year-old Rockhampton man has been charged with eleven offences, including enter premises and commit, possess dangerous drugs, stealing, and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
Both men have been remanded in custody and are due to appear before Rockhampton Magistrates Court today, 11 September.
