Break and enters at Gold Coast

Police are investigating four break and enters where a car was used to gain entry to four separate business premises on the Gold Coast overnight.

Around 11.50pm on March 25, a confirmed stolen vehicle was reversed into the glass doors of a liquor store at Ware Drive at Currumbin Waters. Bottles of alcohol were stolen by three men before returning to the vehicle and driving off.

Then at 12.20am on March 26, a car was again used to smash the glass doors of a liquor store at Mudgeeraba Road at Worongary where three men have entered the store and stole bottles of alcohol before leaving in the vehicle.

Just over an hour later at 1.40am a break and enter occurred at a chemist in Marble Arch Place at Arundel where the glass doors were smashed and property stolen.

Further investigations indicate between 5.50pm last night (March 25) and 8am this morning (March 26) a glass door was smashed to gain entry to an electrical store at Upton Street at Bundall where a selection of mobile phones were stolen.

A stolen grey Holden Captiva believed to be used in the offences was abandoned and set on fire in Babbler Court around 4.25am today

Detectives are presently investigating links between all of these offences.
