Break and enters at Gold Coast

Police are investigating break and enters on five chemists and one newsagency on the Gold Coast overnight that are believed to be linked.

In each instance offenders attempted to or smashed their way through glass doors to gain entry to the premises.

Between 2.30am and 4.30am chemists at Lae Drive Runaway Bay, Brisbane Road at Biggera Waters, Musgrave Avenue at Southport, Ashmore Road at Benowa, Olsen Avenue at Parkwood and a newsagency at Ashmore Road at Benowa were all targeted.

In some instances medication was stolen by two to three males.

Police believe the males may have been travelling in a small black sedan.

Investigations are ongoing.
