Break and enters, Hervey Bay area

Detectives from Maryborough Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) have arrested a 22-year-old man, in relation to a string of break and enters at businesses across the Hervey Bay area between August and October this year.

Between August 10 and October 10, it will be alleged at least 12 businesses have been impacted across Hervey Bay.

A protracted investigation led police to execute a search warrant at a Nikenbah address on October 11, where it is alleged stolen property was located that was linked to approximately 9 break and enter offences which occurred in the previous twelve hours.

Maryborough CIB with Logan Tactical Crime Squad yesterday located a 22-year-old Hervey Bay man at Regents Park, where he was taken into custody.

Investigations remain ongoing. Police urge anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage in relation to property crime incidents in the area to come forward.
