Break-in and assault at Glen Osmond

Police are looking for a suspect and stolen vehicle following a break-in and assault at Glen Osmond yesterday.

About 4.40pm on Monday 26 October, a man allegedly armed with a spanner forced his way into a Sunnyside Road home and demanded money from the occupant. The suspect assaulted the homeowner before stealing cash and a wallet. The victim sustained minor injuries.

The suspect is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 30's with short straight blonde hair and a strong build.

Police suspect that the suspect may have left in a stolen car which was taken a short time earlier about 3.20pm from Birkin Street, Eastwood.

The stolen car is a silver 2010 Ford station wagon with SA registration S373BNV and roof racks fitted.

Investigators from Eastern District CIB are seeking assistance from the public to keep a look out for the stolen vehicle. The public are advised not to approach the vehicle (pictured below) or any occupants but to call police on 131 444 if sighted.
